Northwest Georgia recently welcomed its highly anticipated, state-of-the-art and ADA accessible mobile computer lab funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The lab will be used as a mobile career center that will deliver a variety of job skills and development services to the Northwest Georgia region, while increasing awareness of the services provided by Region 1 Northwest Georgia Workforce Development Board and its partner agencies. More services will be provided to a greater number of individuals and employers, thereby enabling individuals to achieve their highest potential; ensuring employers have the skilled workers they need to compete effectively in the global economy; and capitalizing on the untapped potential of underemployed and discouraged workers, youth and other job seekers with special needs.
