Georgia Department of Labor’s 2016 Regional Business Summit Held July 13th

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL), in concert with local employer committees, hosted the 2016 Employers “In the Know” Summit at Georgia Northwestern Technical College in Calhoun on July 13th. The summit offered practical guidance and real world tips for handling tough management and compliance issues.  Attendees included office managers, human resource professionals, business owners, supervisors and others intent on learning how to operate more effectively within the legal guidelines affecting today’s workplace.  Topics covered included navigating and understanding unemployment reporting, complex labor laws surrounding civil rights, social media in the workplace and how to use it to market your business.
